UNESCO World Heritage Shirakawago

Visitors to Shirakawa-go can explore the village's well-preserved architecture, which has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The village offers a glimpse into rural life in Japan's past, with some of the farmhouses now converted into museums, restaurants, and guesthouses.

Hida-Furukawa

This beautiful village is often missed by tourists but is by far one of the most intriguing little towns in the Hida region. Once famous for its architecture and carpentry this little town is now home to thousands of resplendent Carp who fill the canals along the Edo era streets

Takayama

Takayama, located in the mountainous Hida region of Gifu Prefecture, is renowned for its beautifully preserved old town, traditional streetscapes, and historic wooden houses. The town is often referred to as "Little Kyoto" due to its similar ambiance and well-preserved Edo period architecture.
